Biography

Hi, my name is Fee!

I come to this work as the child of Liberian parents. My father left the country before the 14-year civil war began, but my mother and siblings lived through part of it before they were able to escape. Growing up, I witnessed the lasting impact of that trauma and the lack of mental health support for people who carried those experiences.

To this day, Liberia has only one psychiatrist. For a long time, I thought I would become the second. Life took me in other directions first, through multiple careers outside of mental health, but ultimately brought me where I belong—as a marriage and family therapist. I was drawn to this specialty because of its systemic lens, its focus on how relationships and environments shape us. What excites me most is the mutual learning that happens in therapy.

My Practice

I enjoy working with people whose stories reflect complexity and diversity, individuals in non-traditional relationships, immigrants or children of immigrants, people of color, and young adults navigating life transitions. This population interests me because I am part of it. I know what it means to move between cultures, to carry layered identities, and to seek belonging in spaces that may not fully understand you.

My Christian faith is also an important part of who I am, and it informs the way I approach this work with openness and care. I support clients who want to deepen their spiritual life as well as those who are deconstructing or questioning their faith, always respecting the unique path each person is on. My lived experience, paired with my training, positions me to show up with genuine empathy and provide care that is both authentic and culturally attuned.

More About Fee

When I’m Not in Session

Outside of therapy, I love to immerse myself in newness and adventure. I travel often, attend concerts and live shows, and surround myself with music, afrobeats, R&B, and hip-hop are my favorites. I also enjoy exploring food from different cultures and am always on the lookout for new cuisines. At my core, I thrive on experiences that expand my perspective and give me the chance to learn, grow, and try something different.
