Biography

Hi, my name is Bri!

Mental health has been part of my world since childhood, and like many people who enter this field, my path was shaped by early conversations and lived experience. When I realized I could support others in navigating life stressors and challenges, choosing this work felt natural. I have spent over ten years working in a variety of mental health settings, and that experience has deepened my understanding of how complex and personal mental health truly is.

When you work with me, you can expect a collaborative and supportive experience. I work with individuals, couples, and families, and I am honored to offer tools that can help you feel more grounded and successful in your relationships with others and with yourself. I value transparency in therapy, so you will always know why I am suggesting an intervention or offering a particular perspective. I believe therapy works best when we function as a team, built on open communication and mutual respect. This time and this work are for you, and your voice, input, and perspective will always be heard and valued.

My Practice

I enjoy working with individuals who are seeking meaning and value within themselves. My education is primarily geared towards the individual. The client is the expert on their life and my responsibility is to help them achieve a goal or create the change they crave. I value my work with couples who wish how to argue in a healthy manner. My professional experience has led to a surprise interest in couples work, especially those within non-traditional relationships.

I am excited to provide support to children and parents so they may learn how to communicate and feel supported by members within the family unit. I have several years of experience working with children and families using a Developmental Repair model. My time with PRIDE Institute led to the importance of showing up for one’s community. I enjoy my work empowering others within the LGBTQ+ community. Although I have a lot of experience, I know I am limited by what I don’t know. I am always trying to challenge myself and continue my education so I may be a vehicle for change for all types of individuals, couples, and families.

More About Bri

When I’m Not in Session

I am a certified geek! I love video games, typically RPG and some of the classics like Super Mario and Pokémon. I tend to enjoy individual focused games but I can’t say no to a co-op or group game! I am an avid reader and will read anything that is suggested to me. Art has been a passion of mine since I was young.

Any style or medium is on the table, which happens to be cross stitch and acrylics at the moment. But the outdoors has a special place in my heart. I enjoy camping, hiking, and bouldering. I make an effort to go on to a state or national park every weekend so I may experience new waters, fauna, and flora. And who doesn’t enjoy some awesome food after a good hike?
