Biography
Hi, my name is Amanda!
As a biracial, African American woman, I understand how meaningful it can be to have a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported for who you are. I became a social worker because I’ve always been someone people turn to when they need to feel understood without judgment, pressure, or having to explain themselves.
I love helping people make sense of their experiences, reconnect with themselves, and find new ways to care for their emotional well-being. Therapy can be a place to slow down, reflect, and begin rediscovering your strength, clarity, and joy, sometimes for the first time in a long while.
My Practice
I work with adults, couples, and families who are ready to explore their stories and create change that feels authentic and lasting. This might look like improving communication, untangling old patterns, navigating relationships, or learning how to extend more compassion toward yourself.
Clients often share that our work together feels grounded, genuine, and safe, and that therapy feels like an honest conversation rather than something you need to have all figured out. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person, and we move at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you and finding practical, meaningful ways to make challenges feel more manageable.

More About Amanda
When I’m Not in Session
I love to travel with my partner. My favorite place to visit is Cancun, Mexico. I find when I am there that I am relaxed and at peace. When not working or doing class-related activities, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends and my partner, and brunching. I am also an avid Vikings fan—I like to call myself a Skol-hard Fan!
