About Peak
We created Peak Mental Health for those who feel pushed to the margins, for whom traditional mental healthcare has often felt too narrow to hold the fullness of their story.
We believe that healing is not just an individual journey, but one deeply connected to community and rooted in wellbeing. True healing comes from a courageous reconnection—to yourself, to your history, and to the lived experiences that have shaped you.

Our purpose is to shape a culture of care that honors this complexity, grounded in collaboration, accessibility, and cultural humility.

The Story of Peak

Peak Mental Health is an inclusive organization committed to expanding access to care, especially among communities that have historically been overlooked or underserved. We believe accessibility starts with those providing the care. That’s why we invest in the next generation of clinicians by offering paid, comprehensive internship and practicum opportunities for individuals pursuing licensure in Minnesota as an LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC. By supporting providers at every stage of their journey, we’re building a stronger, more diverse mental health workforce — one better equipped to serve the fullness of every client’s story.
Peak Mental Health was born out of a simple but urgent recognition: too many people felt left out of traditional mental healthcare. Stories shaped by culture, history, and identity were often squeezed into models that didn’t fit. As mental health professionals, we saw that the system didn’t just need more therapists — It needed more therapists trained with cultural humility and a deep sense of community. Peak was created to be that change: a place where clients can access care that truly honors their complexity, and where future clinicians are thoughtfully supported and equipped to provide it.
Porsche Peak Gordin
Porsche Peak Gordin’s path to becoming a therapist began with her own story. Growing up in a blended, often dysfunctional family, she became curious about the patterns that shape how we connect, attach, and relate to one another. Learning about attachment styles gave language to what she had lived through and ignited a passion for understanding how relationships influence our sense of safety, belonging, and possibility for healing.
That spark eventually grew into a career in mental health, and in 2016, Porsche founded Peak Mental Health. Her vision was to create a practice centered on serving marginalized communities, while also building a supportive, collaborative environment where therapists could thrive together.
For Porsche, healing is not only about the individual — it is about community. She believes therapy can spark generational healing, and that creativity and collaboration are powerful tools for growth. Together with a dedicated group of clinicians, Peak has grown into a space that honors the complexity of each person’s story and fosters a culture where both clients and providers can thrive, learn from one another, and carry forward a shared hope for a more inclusive approach to care.

Our clinicians contribute practical, culturally informed insights to public and professional conversations—on camera, on air, and in print. Porsche and team members have appeared on TVOne’s Fatal Attraction, helping tell the stories of survivors of domestic violence with care and context.
