Biography

Hi, my name is Jade!

Therapy is not meant to be a stuffy process. It is meant to be as unique as each individual that walks into the room. I approach psychotherapy from a needs perspective. If a client has a need that isn’t met, we will focus on that together, and if time and head space allows, then we will focus on processing. I believe in decolonizing the therapy process, which means being collaborative with clients throughout the entire therapeutic process from first meetings, diagnosis, and ending services. Clients are the experts on themselves and I am here to help support and walk alongside them through the journey that is therapy. Therapy may be hard, but my hope is to be a supportive entity to challenge and empower clients to work towards their goals.

My Practice

I enjoy working with clients of all ages, but primarily focus on teens and adults. Early in my career, I was afforded the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients from various backgrounds, which has supported my excitement in working with people from all walks of life. Currently, I have a passion for working with neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC clients.

I feel strongly that the world should continue to work towards understanding and embracing marginalized identities, rather than pushing individuals to conform to society that was not built for them. I also enjoy working with trauma, depression, anxiety, attachment struggles, identity development, and Race-Based Traumatic Stress. My hope is to provide clients with a healing space, as so many spaces can be difficult for people to be their true, authentic self.

Clinical Interests

Works primarily with teens and adults from diverse backgrounds, with a strong interest in supporting neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC clients. Enjoys working with individuals navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, attachment concerns, identity development, and race based traumatic stress. Values creating healing spaces where clients can show up as their authentic selves without pressure to conform to systems not built for them.

More About Jade

When I’m Not in Session

I live a fairly simple life. I have a small group of friends, but I enjoy frequenting concerts, exploring new areas, and attending movies at a local arthouse theatre. I am a foodie, and am always down to try new cuisines or cook new recipes. I’m a very creative person and enjoy learning new crafts, and reading. Currently, a close friend and I are working our way through the Midwest Indie Bookstore Roadmap to support small bookstores, and buy more books than we could ever need.
